This Seminar cost $35
Brunch has been a staple of nightlife for several years. We go from the club, to the after hours party to brunch without missing a beat. Burlesque is an entertainment form with a long history in nightlife that has been part of a recent resurgence. Our daytime event combines a gourmet buffet brunch, the brightest minds in nightlife and a tantilizing dessert to top it all off.
Downtown’s newest French bistro Affaire will provide the venue and the meal. Steven Lewis (Good Night Mr. Lewis), Madison Moore (Yale University) and Shonali Bhowmik (Variety Shac) will join us to discuss the impact and importance of nightife culture. Finally, the dancers from the Wasabassco Burlesque company will end the afternoon with a burlesque performance that is even more sultry and delicious than the food!
The buffet brunch, the seminar and the show are included in the donation price.

Drag performers have long been a mainstay of LGBT culture and have always attracted fans of all walks of life who seek out more dramatic and unconventional forms of entertainment. This event will thrill the audience when “showbiz spitfire” Paige Turner graces the stage for a night of music and comedy with a strong dose of retro flair.
This ticket includes a 1 hour open bar in addition to the show.
Doors open at 8 pm.

NEW YORK — Krause Gallery is proud to announce “Synthetic Nature” Olek with David E. Peterson.
Infamous street artist OLEK recently on bail from London will be performing at the Krause Gallery reception within her exhibition. Details to be released ONLY at the exhibition!
OLEK was born Agata Oleksiak in 1978 in Poland. She now lives and works in NYC. Olek’s work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces worldwide and featured in such publications as The New York Times, NY Magazine, TONY, Village Voice, CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC.
With a show at the Smithsonian in July 2012 and fresh off of a European whirlwind of exhibitions in London, Barcelona and Poland, OLEK is primed to become one of the most prolific and high profile street artists this year. “Synthetic Nature” will be the kick off to 2012 for OLEK in her home city of New York.
David E. Peterson is an established abstract artist who has exhibited his work throughout the USA, Europe and South America.
Peterson is inspired by Product Design, Graphic Design and Architecture. He creates a new system of rules based on an original visual observation. During his art process, he analyzes the aesthetics of the original inspiration, then reconstructs them into a original invention. With David’s newest inventions he will assist OLEK in her domination of crocheting the world. His machines will create an environment of unbelievable performance.
While in Miami last year and while walking from the Hotel Shelborne after seeing Black Coffee and heading to Club Play, I saw half a bike crocheted with yarn. The picture sucks but the work was AWESOME!

Priel Maman: Designer

I am SO glad that I went to Onegin the other night for GNO! We had so much fun and were treated like Queens. The champagne and food did not stop flowing and DJ Liliya Moon had everyone on the dance floor…Our host Oleksii Nelin really knows how to take care of his guest!
I was also lucky enough to meet designer, Priel Maman. For over 15yrs, designer Priel Manam has not only been styling woman’s hair but he also designs their bridal and evening gowns. Apparently, all of Priel’s designs are handmade, and “sewn in accordance with the principle of Haute Couture”…after the show I HAD to see these beautiful dresses up close. Let me just tell you they were stunning!!!
Priel Maman’s design mimic his personality: fun, sophisticated, romantic, flirty, sexy and just straight up one-of-a-kind…
